  • Along with exercising, check your diet to make sure it’s allowing for you to maintain a heathy weight.
  • Wear low-heeled shoes to keep blood moving in the veins. High heels keep your calves from properly pumping the blood out of the legs
  • Opt for lower sodium foods to reduce swelling and bloating in the body.
  • Wear compression stockings
  • Wear sunscreen to prevent skin damage that could lead to spider veins
  • Avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time. If you have no choice (traveling), try rotating your ankles, go for a quick walk, or shift your weight.
  • Elevate your legs when resting.
